(including freelancers).

Where do I apply for funding?

The application for funding is submitted via the BAFA website and only contains a few questions. We will be happy to help you fill out the form After a control center has checked the funding application, the applicant receives an information letter with the result of the check. If the funding for the consulting has been approved, the consulting contract can be concluded and management consulting can begin.

It should be noted that the order of the application steps is adhered to in order to avoid financial damage. The cost of advice given before BAFA funding is approved will not be covered.

Startups and companies in difficulty are required to take part in a free information meeting (by telephone or in person) with a regional partner before applying for BAFA. After this, the funding application must be submitted within three months.

Evidence of the use of the grant must be provided within six months of receipt of the information letter. The proof of use is provided on the BAFA application page.

Am I entitled to the funding?

Three groups of companies can apply for funding:

 

  • Young companies that have been in business for a maximum of two years.

  • Existing companies that have been on the market for three years.

  • Company in economic trouble.

 

 

Companies and members of the liberal professions with a focus on consulting are excluded.

This includes the areas of management consulting and auditing as well as professional groups such as tax consultants, lawyers and notaries.

Also excluded are companies that are in insolvency proceedings, non-profit organizations and companies with a participation relationship with religious communities or legal entities under public law.
